Exeter Tenants Forum
Tenant Participation
Exeter City Council is committed to encouraging and enabling tenants and leaseholders to take an active role in the housing services they receive.
The Tenant Participation Compact review ‘EXACT’, was distributed to all tenants in the Summer 2004 edition of Tenants News and another review is due to take place before the end of 2005.
The Independent Tenants Advisor, selected by tenants to take them through the Option Appraisal process, has agreed to review the compact with tenants and leaseholders.
‘EXACT’ sets out exactly how tenants and leaseholders can become involved in the service provision at Exeter City Council.
In order to monitor and improve the services provided by Exeter City Council, we need feedback and involvement from the people who use our services, you, the tenants and leaseholders of Exeter City Council.
Although we have a fairly good tenant representation in some parts of the city, other areas have little or no representation.
There are three fully constituted residents associations and these are areas where the tenants can receive additional support
We would like to increase the level of tenant involvement in your area and as such we are trying to arrange for anyone interested in improving community involvement in policy and service delivery, to get together or telephone to discuss the matter.
