Tenant and Leaseholder Conference 2008

This years Exeter City Council Tenant and Leaseholder Conference was held at Belmont Chapel, Western Way on Friday 19 September.

The event was very well attended with over 94 people attending for some or part of the day.

The conference was opened by Lawrence Blake - the new Housing Operations Manager who introduced the chair of the Tenant and Leaseholder Committee (TALC), Alison Moore.

Alison welcomed everyone and did a brief introduction outlining the work of the TALC before handing over to the first keynote speaker of the day, Bill Taylor the South West Manager of Digital UK. The conference then split into their chosen workshops. The workshops were repeated in the afternoon session which gave everyone the opportunity to attend two out of the four choices available.

The conference then broke up for a rather splendid lunch.

The afternoon keynote speaker was Philip Bostock Exeter City Councils Chief Executive who  outlined the case for a single unitary council for an extended Exeter area.

The conference then broke for the second workshop option.

The conference was brought to a close with a spectacular prize draw.

There were a total of 16 fantastic prizes for the draw which were very kindly provided by the contractors who carry out work on your behalf.
